The Arrival of the Flagship of Flagships: The Magellano 30 Metri

The Magellano Collection: The Perfect Companion for Exploring New Horizons

The name Magellano immediately conjures up long, exhilarating voyages, the thrill of discovering far-flung new destinations and the insatiable desire to explore and constantly push boundaries. It’s no coincidence that Azimut Yachts named their long-range collection after the great Portuguese explorer. From the moment it debuted in 2009, the collection has been synonymous with stress-free cruising and extended trips in total safety and peace of mind.

Every model in the Magellano family is a navetta, a contemporary take on the traditional trawler. True to its roots, the Magellano is characterised by voluminous lines and a no-nonsense, almost naval appearance which shuns changing fashions and trends, yet remains timeless and never looks outdated.

“One of the first reasons why an owner chooses an Azimut yacht is nearly always beauty. Then, the intrinsic values of the product come into play: its comfort, safety features, level of technology and elegant living solutions.”

On all fronts, the flagship of flagships, the Magellano 30 METRI, currently taking shape, delivers in the most satisfying way.  Designed by the great Ken Freivokh, with interiors by the renowned creative talent Vincenzo De Cotii, the Azimut Magellano 30 METRI is a super-elegant navetta, featuring the trademark classic lines of its sisters, but revisited in a more sophisticated, contemporary key.

Azimut commissioned Ken Freivokh Design to style and develop the interiors of the Magellano range. Benefiting from extensive research by the Azimut team, the range was designed to suit alternative propulsion methods. With an open-plan layout, the Magellano range is equally at home traveling efficiently at semi-displacement speeds as it is laying at anchor or alongside, where its panoramic windows, space integration and continuity of line all conspire to achieve a feeling of great space and open views.  On the technical front, the lynchpin will again be the Dual Mode hull, with its outstanding efficiency whether in displacement mode or at higher speeds.

Vincenzo De Cotii’s unique, distinctive style, long associated with many of the world’s most exclusive motoryachts and glorious megasailers, is already a guarantee of success.

Nobody knows if Ferdinando Magellano would be proud of Azimut Yachts’ work, but it cannot be disputed that Azimut shares with him a passion to always go further, overcoming whatever challenges it may encounter on its way as it explores ever-expanding horizons.
