Sanctuary Mandela Hosts the Dante String Quartet: A Harmonious Evening of Music, Culture, and Education

Sanctuary Mandela is proud to be collaborating with the Dante Quartet, the only quartet in the UK currently made up of two South Africans and two Brits who will be performing in Johannesburg in October.

The Dante String Quartet will be in South Africa between 12 and 23 October 2023 and will be performing at the iconic Sanctuary Mandela Boutique Hotel on the 21st of October at 18:00 as part of the Sanctuary Serenade: An Evening of Music and Culinary Exploration. The Sanctuary Serenade is a unique event that seamlessly blends the enchanting world of music with the flavours of a gourmet culinary journey and the rich tapestry of cultural exploration.

Located in Johannesburg, Sanctuary Mandela is a heartfelt tribute to Mandela’s unwavering spirit. His legacy, rooted in pursuing a better world, infuses every corner of the hotel. The embodiment of his creative vision inspires us to unlock our potential and reach for our aspirations.

A celebration of Mandela’s essence

In their concerts, they also aim to play music that provides a platform to a diverse range of composers, thereby offering an enriching experience for those who choose to listen. The hotel’s halls will come alive with the talents of this duo in harmony with Mandela’s commitment to the arts.

With the Dante String quartet’s continuous commitment to education, it was obviously imperative for them to secure a date at the Morris Isaacson School in Soweto, where they are delighted to be performing a fresh and newly conceived youth concert for the children, complimented with private lessons.

Their aim is to instil greater awareness about music making through education, and in their concerts, they also aim to play music that provides a platform to a diverse range of composers, thus offering an enriching experience for those who choose to listen.
