MOËT & CHANDON GRANDEST CHAMPAGNE CHRISTMAS TREE AT THE V&A WATERFRONT
Countless #moetmoments were created on this perfect Cape Town summer’s evening at the V&A Waterfront’s stylish new Silo District in the course of this glamourous event. True to the Maison’s grand style of celebration the Moët & Chandon Champagne Tree saw Cape Town shine, with the first tree of its kind built in Africa.
Moët & Chandon guests, including Siv Ngesi, Ryk Neethling, Cameron van der Burgh and Sonia Booth watched in awe as the impressive and interactive 10-meter Moët & Chandon Champagne Tree, made entirely from over 1,500 recycled Moët & Chandon champagne bottles, was brought to life during a dazzling lighting ceremony, hosted by Maps Maponyane.
In true festive spirit, visitors sent hundreds of messages via Twitter or Instagram to their loved ones on the night … and all the messages that included the hashtag #moetmomentcapetown appeared, as they were posted, on a light ribbon wrapped around the tree. And, to add to the excitement, when visitors engaged on social media using the #moetmomentcapetown followed by the popping champagne bottle emoji, the golden crown at the top of the tree spun.
Rendez-vous at the V&A Waterfront this December to marvel at the Moët & Chandon Champagne Christmas Tree and make sure to send your messages to the tree via Twitter or Instagram for the duration of the festive season until 3 January!
Visitors to the V&A are also invited to enjoy delicious festive specials at select restaurants in the plaza with views of the Champagne Tree.
