Ladies are increasingly interested in and sensitive to the appeal of wristwatches. The RM 07-01 represents the perfect mechanical synthesis between Haute Horlogerie elegance and the ‘tough love’ provided by new materials.

The heart of this timepiece centers on the in-house designed CRMA2 caliber, a highly skeletonized automatic movement developed specifically for the RM 07-01.

A broad palette of colored ceramics is available for the collection. In addition to its exceptional scratch-resistant qualities, ceramic has a gorgeous fine-grained texture that takes a perfect finish. This allows a play of textures to emerge between its matt appearance and surfaces that are polished.

BASEPLATE AND BRIDGES MADE OF GRADE 5 TITANIUM

Microblasted grade 5 titanium with an electro plasma treatment gives great rigidity to the baseplate, as well as precise surface flatness which is essential for the perfect functioning of the gear train. The bridges are also in grade 5 titanium, micro-blasted and electro plasma treated.

The skeletonized baseplate and the bridges were subjected to separate and extensive validation tests to ensure optimal strength requirements.

 

 

VARIABLE-GEOMETRY ROTOR

This variable-geometry rotor has been incorporated into the caliber to makes it possible to effectively adapt rewinding of the mainspring to the user’s activity level. The setting can be modified by adjusting two weights that can be adjusted and fixed in place by spline screws. The inertia of the movement is increased when the two weights are closer to each other; the barrel then rewinds more quickly. If the weights are positioned at the extremities of the rotor, the inertia is decreased and the barrel winds more slowly.

The combination of these materials gives a total bracelet weight of just 29 grams.
