Louis Vuitton X Fornasetti
For its latest collaboration Louis Vuitton X Fornasetti, Louis Vuitton has explored the unique creative world of renowned Italian artistic design atelier Fornasetti.

Louis Vuitton’s New Collaboration
Initiated by Nicolas Ghesquière, Artistic Director of women’s collections at Louis Vuitton, the Maison’s new collaboration explores the creative wealth
of the Fornasetti atelier. The multifaceted collection showcases Fornasetti’s iconic hand-drawn imagery that has enchanted art and design lovers since Piero founded his atelier in 1940.

Designs and Features
The collaboration begins with Nicolas Ghesquière’s Fall-Winter 2021 collection. The collection integrates Fornasetti’s distinct visual universe into multiple designs and features specific Fornasetti themes and artworks. Of course, each design was selected by Nicolas Ghesquière in dialogue with Barnaba Fornasetti, the Artistic Director of Fornasetti Atelier, and their respective teams. They chose from the 13,000-piece Fornasetti archive in Milan.

Colours and Textures
These clothes, as well as accessories, use a rich combination of colours, textures and traditional, cutting-edge techniques. Nicolas Ghesquière’s strikingly contemporary design intertwines with Fornasetti’s exquisitely illustrated world through techniques such as jacquard, embroidery and laser printing.

Highlights include velvet dresses and shiny printed jersey tops with Fornasetti drawings of ancient statues overlaid on high-tech thermal-camera imagery. Fleece hooded jackets and tailored pieces also form part of the Louis Vuitton X Fornasetti collection. Oversize outerwear pieces feature Fornasetti prints, both in a stamp inspired coloured version and, in a gold, coated version.
