PREEMPT: The first ever insurance product that covers for the fallout of Cancel Culture & the Culture Wars 

Borkowski, the trailblazing communications agency headed by industry titan Mark Borkowski, has launched PREEMPT, a suite of industry-leading crisis communications services backed by the first-ever insurance policy designed to protect against the fallout of ‘cancel culture’ and ‘The Culture Wars’.

PREEMPT offers the full benefit of Borkowski’s forty years of public relations expertise to mitigate against reputation damage caused by negative media and social media coverage, including subjective criticism.

Borkowski is the exclusive provider of these services for a new policy by malicious and hostile risk insurance specialists, Samphire Risk, which also covers kidnap, extortion and blackmail. Borkowski conceived PREEMPT in partnership with the policy’s risk partner RepuTitan, founded by risk management expert Derek McLeod.

As well as research, analysis, monitoring and training designed to prevent potential reputation issues in advance, PREEMPT covers 60-days of communications work by Borkowski’s industry-leading Crisis & Reputation Management team to manage and respond to negative media and social media coverage.

This makes it the first policy of its kind to cover issues stemming from ‘The Culture Wars’ and ‘Cancel Culture’, which have damaged public figures’ reputations, businesses, financial stability and mental health, even when there is no suggestion that they have broken the law or any official rules or regulations covered by existing ‘reputation insurance’.

Individuals likely to be the subject of negative publicity including celebrities, business leaders, athletes and UHNWI can now ensure an immediate and effective response to potential crises without the expense of retaining a Crisis PR Agency full time. PREEMPT provides 24/7 support via a crisis hotline that policyholders can use to report a potential issue even if it has not yet appeared on any public forum. 

Borkowski’s expert Crisis & Reputation Management team will be immediately available to either pre-emptively or reactively tackle issues from social media backlash, to misinformation, deep fakes, and even rumours. When a potential crisis breaks, the Policy entitles holders to 60 days’ cover, including production and implementation of a comprehensive communications strategy and ongoing senior strategic counsel throughout the coverage period.
