Powerhouse RS7 Sportback

The most powerful RS 7 to date?

At the Frankfurt motor show, the new Audi RS 7 made its appearance. Immediately the aggressive RS DNA can be seen. Aggressive lines, the sneaky “I’m not here to make trouble grille” and the 21-inch wheels make your heart rate pick up.

The engine is what matches the aggressive scaring look of this machine.  So we welcome a 4.0-liter V8 engine with a 48-volt “mild” Hybrid electrical system that punches 441KW and 800Nm of power. These monster figures are supported by an 8-Speed Automatic transmission directing all its power to all four wheels. The RS 7 goes from zero to 100 in 3.6 seconds and top speed capped at 250 KPH. If this is not enough for you they have added dynamic and dynamic plus modes to give you respectively 280KPH and 305KPH.

Audi dropped the RS7 suspension with 20mm from the standard A7 and that is thanks to the standard adaptive Air suspension. It even drops a further 10mm when going past the 120KPH mark.RS Sports suspension and Dynamic ride control can be added as extras to enhance the dynamic ability. These extras help with reducing body roll when you push through corners.

The interior is fully flooded with new tech. Like a virtual cockpit, MI Dual touchscreen. The “old” Flat-bottomed steering wheel is also present with Nappa leather covering the RS sport seats to keep those bums in place when you hit the corners.

RS 7 is set to arrive in South- Africa in the 4th Quarter. And we cannot wait.
